The Indian Summer

image

The hottest time,
The most hectic season,
When light cotton clothes,
Remain the order of the day,
Melons and mangoes,
Splashing in the pools or rivers.

The Tropical Indian
Summer is here…!

Scorching summer,
Sweltering sun,
Prickly heat, and,
Hot winds,
Marked by vacations,
Mass exodus,
To hilly stations.

The Tropical Indian
Summer is here.

April. May. June.
Scarcity of water,
With temperature,
Crossing 46 degrees,
Weather conducive for,
Dengue, Malaria, Cholera and Diarrhea.

The Tropical Indian
Summer is here…!

Eat light, stay light,
Avoid eating out,
Drink lemonade
A sunscreen lotion,
To avoid severe sunburns.
Is the mantra to survive.

The Tropical Indian
Summer is here…!

      1. Oh like that. I for a moment thought like it was a typical gaali like – pagal ho gaya hai kya? summers aise hi nahi guzar jaate :p .. and no I’m not a BRAT … From a complete civilian background with no one in the family to join defence ( which apparently is frowned upon because I didn’t choose to be an engineer or a CA)
