Grey hair; false teeth,
Unloved, uncherished and unknown.
Forgetful are the children
Who dumped her here
Silently wiping a tricking tear.
Trapped inside the prison walls
That used to be her mind.
The woman that she used to be,
Has long been left behind.
You can never be permanently broken.
Every day you can start again,
Every day you have the chance
To put yourself back together or abstain,
Not allowing yourself fade into a helpless person
A moment of truth
A sense of clarity
Breaking away from youth
It may take time
It may take strength,
And we’re back to reality
You are not broken…
Just a little scraped up.
Nothing ever stays the same in this world–
Not even the bad times.
Ahead of you
A new world unfurls.
INNER WHEEL CLUB of Delhi, Greater Kailash, has dedicated itself to work for the destitute.
“Today the ageing parents become a burden on the younger generation. Breakdown in joint families has made it worse. We have had elderly people being left unattended in hospitals, railway stations, bus stand in deplorable conditions.
They are brought to this NGO. INNER WHEEL is the ladies arm of Rotary. it consists of 64 clubs in Delhi, Rohtak, Gurgaon, NOIDA etc. It is the largest women’s voluntary organisation across 103 countries in the world. Communion and interactions brings hearts closer and distances shorter. That is why I am reaching out to you…!! Personal service is top priority. We help schools for underprivileged, old age homes, anti drugs, HIV positive amongst others.”
