An Elegant Woman

Alluring. Controlling. Compelling.
Powerful; yet sophisticated,
Elegant woman doesn’t take life for granted.

Gratitude and appreciation her forte,
Sometimes imperfect she may seem;
At ease with herself and her flaws,
She focuses on all that is good and right in her life.

A sparkle in her eye and a zest in her step,
She’s all about simplicity and effectiveness,
Not the one to complicate things;
She says no to excess: excess guilt; excess commitments
Or anger: a wasted emotion.
Not the one to wing her day,
She creates an effective plan and spends it her way.

Be ready to hear a “NO,”
For half hearted commitment is not her game.
Not the one to be a * “nouveau riche;” she knows she’s fabulous,
Not because of what she possesses; but who she is.
Not the one to dwell on the past
She gathers the lessons; wisdom,
All the while learning from her experiences.

Too enraptured in what she’s creating,
She doesn’t care what you are doing
Not getting sucked into brawls and gossip
She knows that elegance is a state of mind.
For her a flower is still beautiful when,
It wilts and its petals fade.
Because the elegance first came from inside.

Age; wrinkles; cannot define her,
For an elegant woman, is forever ageless…..

*nouveau riche-  those who love to flaunt their money
