The Broken Crown

Living in an age
Where being selfish is the norm
Truth is deemed as a lie
And lies are accepted as beliefs.

Too worried about their own survival
Guns and knives our allies
None has faith in humanity
Or the will to fix it.

Laws are made to be broken
Drugs and narcotics used to escape the pain
Politics in the name of religion
And wars in the name of the nation.

Grading in school education won’t help
We don’t need politics and we don’t need wars,
We need to cast out all delusions; radical and insane
And rise against the fears; for coward, we are not…!
