Break Away From the Cacophony

Dead to the core; but moving still,
Trying to make a change.
Letting go; breaking down to cry
When adversity strikes.

Dragging our feet,
Watching; waiting to hear the siren’s call.
Pushing onward until we find,
The answer to this, inside our mind.

We slog ourselves every day,
And attempt to stand tall once again.
Only to face a hundred more problems
Spinning our world around.

Life rolls onto a mat like a rolling pin.
Fatigue wringing your body and spirit,
Like a towel and crushing it flat.

It not your nemesis,
There’s still hope for you,
If you,
Just hold on tight.

Always believe in your dreams,
At least for once in a while.
Make a conscious effort;
Have the will and strength to fight.

Be confident, believe in yourself,
Horn your skills.
Live in the present; believe in the future,
Let the mistakes of the past be a stepping stone to success.

Dreams do come true
If not often, then at least for once in a while.
