A Facade of Laughing Bonhomie

Behind her facade,
Is a sorrow with reason.
A girl who was filled with,
Insecurities, and sadness.
Emotions; locked and imprisoned,
Like a tiny white-winged dove.

Behind her facade,
I know a different person.
Who lives in a hope with dying light,
Looking happy and carefree.
Hiding a boiling, raging love,
Longing to be free.

Behind her facade,
Is a well filled deep with tears,
Home to her deepest darkest fears.
And I wish I could spill the sadness,
That threatens to destroy her,
Like storm waters sinks a ship.

Behind her facade,
She would always smile.
She would always laugh.
But her eyes void of life,
Voice void of emotions.
And I’m afraid they’ll buy the facade and she’ll drown.

Oh Mauli…!!
Don’t you know that you’re too convincing.
It’s time to remove the mask,
You’ve worn all your life.
Let your true self show.
Let the world peep in through the windows of your soul.

…..because all is not bleak.
All is not lost.
