Walking Towards Hope

Your sweet memories
Folding me tenderly
Entrapped in you.
While tranquil melodies play in my mind
Subduing my fears
Our relationship is not
Based on lightheartedness.
Losing track of time
Just waiting to be discovered.
We thrive in a place
Where laughter floats on the wind
Where two people can learn to love
And not be burdened by fear.

Fire between us
A subdued intoxicated thing,
Will become alive,
From a single spark
And breathe warmth back into my heart again.
We share a light
Which spills out of your eyes and into mine.
Your breath and mine; entwined,
I could dance all night to your heartbeat against mine.
You spin me around, my heart in your hand.
You take my hand or go around my waist.
The rise and fall of the waves’ trough and crest,
Parallels with my head on your broad chest.

As I try to fall asleep with a subdued heart.
I free myself from the ever imprisoning gates of fate
And walk towards hope…
