Guest Post: Alex

Perspective: Alex

unnamed

I know myself enough to see,
I just can’t be,
I need protection,
Like trees from the sun,
But a force is pulling me down,
I look around but nothing is found,
I take my time,
I don’t spend a dime,
Everything tastes sour like lime,
I look for an opportunity to combine,
I feel like everything is grind,
I do not anymore like to dine,
The problem is complicated but so easy to fix,
I feel like life is playing me tricks,
No matter what I do I can’t win,
I know I can’t be without sin.

Still my fantasies are catching up with me,
I feel like nothing is like they’re supposed to be,
I feel like setting my inner self free,
But I know the damage it will cause,
It will break my heart to see all my flaws,
Knowing how stupid I feel around you,
My boss,
I must protect my neck and back,
Find myself so I can get back on track,
No need to remind me of what I lack,
I must take my life back.

Our guest today is an inspirational writer who through his writings helps people conquer their innermost fears. He loves to writes poems and is a webdesigner/programmer. He loves sharing his collection of designs, short stories & poems. You can read his short stories and poems on UPLIFTING SHORT STORIES & POEMS He has three other personal sites which he has made which you can find on his page, and one he has made for the company, Frisk Bris Consulting. His poems are highly motivating and are full of positivity. My chat with him was most enjoyable. I am confident you will enjoy it too.

RNG: So Alex, when did you first realise you wanted to be a poet/writer?

ALEX: I learned that first and foremost through my interest in wordplay. I use it to get a laugh or for my own amusement. I also have an interest in words in general, how the can be put together and more importantly how you can separate words and they get different meanings. Words to me are very exciting.

RNG: How long does it take you to write a poem/article?

ALEX: I don’t write articles. My poems can be written very fast. I get an idea and just go with it. I don’t mind if it ends up being a little bit silly… But it can also vary.

RNG: What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?

ALEX: I am that kind of person who writes mostly when I feel like it. I can have periods of no writing, and periods where I feel I have written a lot. I always try to make sure I don’t create this big hole of time when I don’t post anything.

RNG: What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

ALEX: I use all caps to emphasise words.

RNG: What is your motivation factor?

ALEX: I get motivated by the feeling of other people reading and also understanding more of myself. I also like the feeling of being in the moment, writing.

RNG: When did you write your first poem/article and how old were you?

ALEX: I don’t remember my very first poem, ever. But I remember my first poem on my blog, which was about 3 years from now, so I was 19. I knew I loved it right away, and that made me so happy to find a new hobby.

RNG: How many poems/articles have you written till now?

ALEX: Can you share a few links of your favourite articles? I reached my 100th post yesterday! Wooh! I can definitely share some of my favourite posts….

RNG: What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

ALEX: I love playing football (soccer…), I also like hanging out with friends or watching a comedy series or stand up.

RNG: Would you like to consider publishing your work in form of a book in the near future?

ALEX: No plans of that. Maybe I’ll write a book later in life. I have hopes of being able to help people and when or if I feel like I have something valuable to share, in book form, I’ll consider it.

RNG: Do you have any suggestions to help the people reading your interview become a better writer? If so, what are they?

ALEX: I think that you must find a joy in words. Enjoying reading them and processing them. If you find reading and searching up words boring, then maybe writing is not meant for you. I also believe that to be a good writer you have to write consistently. And stop worrying so much about what you write, just get it out on paper, then you can edit it and make it coherent. I would like to thank you,  Ranjeeta Nath Ghai for asking me to be on your guest post.

RNG: Thank you Alex, it was great to have you here with me. hope to read more of your poems and host you again on my blog sometime again. Before you leave please check out the Hall of Fame  which has been created to honour the guests on my blog.
