Liebster Blog Award

A heartfelt thank you to covertnovelist for nominating me for this delightful award.
I have been nominated for many awards but Liebster Blog Award and Black Cat Awards were missing from my awards page. It certainly came out of the blue on 28 April 2017 but I could not do proper justice to it as I was moving my residence and was in process of resettling. Now that I’m comfortably settled I can devote my time to it.

The Rules of This Award:

1. Acknowledge the blog who nominated you and display the award.
2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you.
3. Give 11 random facts about yourself.
4. Nominate 11 blogs.
5. Notify those blogs of the nomination.
6. Give them 11 questions to answer.

Answers to the questions asked from me are as follows:

CN: Your greatest achievement to date is . . .

Me: To see my book “Mann Ki Aarzoo” in print as a published book. It was my dream come true and this is certainly not the end of it.

CN: Your most amusing moment to date is . . .

Me: When I was learning to cycle at the age of 40 and I forgot to apply the brakes on a downhill slope. My bike went crashing into a motorcycle and flew like Superman into the nearest bin ahead of me landing on my face.

CN: You create time for one special thing for you and it is . . .

Me: To go for 1½ hours swimming daily in the evening. I just love swimming.

CN: Your most “scandalous” moment in time was . . .

Me: When I was caught imitating my teachers walk by him.

CN: If you could go back in time who would you be?

Me: Myself.

CN: Your most touching and amazing moment to date is . . .

Me: The birth of my two kids.
My daughter was a hyper mature baby and had got detached from me. Hypoxia had set in. I was on the brink of losing her.
Then my son was also born in emergence. I was getting my labor pains but the head was not getting engaged. The umbilical cord was entwined twice around his neck.
In both cases, timely actions by my doctors saved my kids.

CN: What do you unwind?

Me: I write poetry to unwind. Or better still my favourite place… my bed. I just go off to sleep 😉

CN: What do you enjoy most about blogging?

Me: That I get to meet like-minded people and make new friends.

CN: What is something silly you love about yourself?

Me: I’m an impulsive person and sometimes it takes me time to understand something that is obvious… like a flickering tubelight.

CN: Do you work, and if so, is it something you love?

Me: Yes. I am a mentor… and mentoring is my passion.

CN: What is one life experience you learned that changed your life?

Me: Never expect anything from anyone. Not from your parents. Not from your friends and Not even from your children. Do what you want to do for them. But don’t let them use you. And if they still treat you like discarded linen then let them be and close that chapter. Never even look back. Move on. They don’t deserve you.

Thank you so much, that was fun and entertaining too.
