Sunshine Blogger Award

Good afternoon folks!! Have a sunny day… though living in India I personally prefer a cloudy and a breezy day, accompanied by rains and a mug of hot tea on my hands with some spiced up pakodas or samosas 🙂

I have been nominated for “The Sunshine Blogger Award” and the credit goes to LazyHaze. My heart is full of gratitude for Lazy Haze.

It’s an upcoming blog and the best part is its versatile in its reads. Do check out the blog. I’m sure you’ll love it.

My answers to the questions:-

  • What inspires you to blog?

I always loved to write poetry. Not a fiction person. And blogging helps me to put my views across on a broader platform where there is no bias. It also helps me broaden my horizons by allowing me to read works of varied tastes. And that Yellow dot on the bell, a comment, a like or a follow gives me an incentive to write better.

  • What do you want to change about this world?

I can’t change the world…but I can change the world of ONE person. That’s my aim in life… create ripples of positive change. Immaterial of the fact if it’s an animal/bird/human.

  • Who’s your role model, how and why?

My role models are my parents. They have taught me never to accept injustice in any form. To stand up for what I believe in at the same time being truthful. Courage of conviction is what I’ve learnt from them.

  • What is your favorite song?

It’s a ghazal….   Zindagi Khaak Na Thi – Zindagi Gulzar Hai – Hadiqa Kiani

  • Where do you want to see yourself in 10 years?

Maybe a Principal of a school, an established poet, work for animal NGO’s….
list is never ending…

  • Which are your 3 top traits?

Honest & trusting, hate hypocrisy, an out and out animal person.

  • What is the best place you ever been to?

There are two actually. Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Kullu-Manali… I’m in love with them.

  • Three things you regret the most in your life?
  1. Having overrun a squirrel under my car by mistake.
  2. Not able to shoot down animal offenders.
  3. Not having enough money and space to provide for stray dogs and cats. Wish I was really rich and had a farmhouse. I would have spent each penny on them.
  • Share one stupidity awesome experience?

I was at a staff meeting and my cell was in silent mode. My son kept calling insistently despite me sending him messages. It was a Friday morning and I knew he wanted to watch a movie in the evening with his friends. Finally, I had to excuse myself and attend the call. And when I did that…. I literally gave him hell as I crossed the threshold of the room. When I came back in there was pin drop silence in the meeting hall as if I had dropped a nuclear bomb on them. Guess they had heard my son being lambasted….

  • Justice league/Avenger?

Both…  one is incomplete without the other.

  • Things that intrigues you the most?

Afterlife, spirits and sixth sense.
