Fishing in Unknown Waters

Fishing in Unknown Waters

From being a graphic designer
To a mentor
And then an author.
Fishing in unknown waters
Today I feel
Like a fisherman going out to sea.
Braving the storms
Manoeuvring his boat against the waves.
Methodically casting his net.
His faith in the lighthouse
Is his constant source of strength,
Even though it’s far beyond his reach.

Just as the fisherman
Casts out his net in the waters
Where fish are to be caught
Then hauls it back in again
For the catch that his livelihood sought
Similar way I cast my line in the marketing world.

Still waters. A few ripples here and there
And then the line moves;
Slowly… jerking unsteadily at first
Then more frequently as the fish take a bite.
And like the fisherman, I take a strong hold,
Ready for the fight…

  1. You write so relevantly true…true to the core the subject concerned….your nib is delivering sparks my dear..gud job..sometimes the fish is already in the crate..but fisherman still wants more and more…and that should be the zeal and zest to be present in every endeavour….mind blowing

  2. Oh,I see you have been growing beautifully in all arenas and I seriously do not know how many more colours are still left in your canvas.I am sure they are infinite!:)
May God always keep you in his loving care.
