A Poet’s Heart Is A Little Too Far Gone

A poet’s heart is an open secret,
Never conforming to the conventional parameters
Its resonance creates a symphony
without boundaries.

His tears trickle through words
Cutting through soul with surgical precision
With riveting stories to tell.

A poet’s heart whispers in metaphoric codes
It’s a treasure trove of emotions
That hides away but longs to be found.
Glorifying nature and unity,
Happiness excels as earth is his
Sober inn and quiet pilgrimage.

A poet’s heart is an everlasting song
Echoing through the universe; so full yet so empty,
So alive yet dead at the same time
Sometimes a little too drunk on beauty
Or, little too good at scaring people away.
He exists like a ghost in this twisted world.

A poet’s heart isn’t like any other
It’s often too drunk on feelings
Defying all restrictions; not knowing where to stop
It’s a little too far gone
It’s a little too far gone…

  1. This is beautifully written. It covers a subject that I’ve often wondered about; do we poets really see the world in a different way, or are we just people who have the literary skill to describe our emotions, experiences and surroundings in a moving way? I don’t know the answer to this question…
