Countless Are The Blessings That I Count

Winds urging to forgive and forget,
Scarlet sunrises and crimson sunsets,
Twinkling stars in the bright night sky,
Marathon of clouds passing by,
Seasons I’ve lived to see,
Countless are the blessings,
I count,
Thanking the powers that be.

Mistakes those I’ve made
Amount of times I’ve been betrayed,
Numerous times I rose and fell,
Ne’er learnt to play my cards well,
Seasons I’ve lived to see,
Countless are the blessings,
That I count,
Thanking the powers that be.

Dreams that I lived or turned to ashes,
Saw the world without rose-tinted glasses,
Walks down the memory lane,
Seeing my efforts going down the drain,
Seasons I’ve lived to see,
Countless are the blessings,
That I count,
Thanking the powers that be.

Hours I lay awake wondering,
Do I always have to be waiting in the wings?
Wondering if I’ll ever get a chance,
To relive the forbidden romance,
Seasons I’ve lived to see,
Countless are the blessings,
That I count,
Thanking the powers that be.

Just another voice in the wind,
Waiting like wildflower for the spring,
Basking in the tales full of glories,
Cocooned in the labyrinth of my memories,
Many seasons I’ve lived to see,
Countless are the blessings,
That I count,
Thanking the powers that be.
