Guest Post : ‘Can’t Believe It’ – drawing by Michel Montecrossa
Michel Montecrossa on his drawing ’Can’t Believe It’:
‘Can’t Believe It’ is a deeply musical and poetic chalk and ink drawing of the beauty of life free from fear and danger. It is the image of the height of truth beyond death and decay, the victory of the reality-building dream and its magic of living love.
It is the ultimate life-giving female principle coming with the unfathomable immediacy of a girl effortlessly replacing the smallness of logic with the splendours of soul and wonder. The melody of lines and delicate colour felicity tells in one endless look all that thought can never fully measure.
The strong fairy wood harbours the depth-conscious secrets in its green violet shades, echoed in the nearby lake of oblivion with its cryptic turquoise waveforms caressed by a bright-coloured passing breeze touching the girl’s smooth face and weaving its whispering throng of sensual sweetness into the flow of her blond hair.
The girl’s blue gaze looks at you and at the same time has a strong synaptic deep-brain connection to the intense purity of the city behind her. Embedded in a cosmic environment the whole scenery is simultaneously seen from within and from without as if seen with the eye of the supra-natural planet above the mountain silhouette.
The eye of the girl and the planet in fact become one in the vision of the eye of the observer through the immaculate play of the drawing’s color hues which majestically is centered in the white futuristic expanses fusing the girl with the totality of the scene into the four-dimensional status of ’Can’t Believe It’.
