Guest Post: Mistella, I Am Not Afraid (An Experience)
I am not afraid,
as I am still not dead.
I am alive from inside,
as I have nothing to hide.
I may have some reasons to lie,
as I would never wish to die.
I am gone far away from you,
as I am with nothing to do.
I may be existing somewhere in the world,
as I have lived a life which was completely swirled.
I am not afraid,
as I have earned my happiness.
I am still not dead,
as I am spending my earnings which would never fade.
RNG: Good morning Mistella, it’s great to be chatting with you here. Could you start by telling us a bit about yourself? 🙂
Mistella: Thank God, we are chatting online only. Otherwise, you would definitely find me as an introvert person.
So, I have already been quite frank and have exposed my weakness in the very beginning.
I hope it’s going to be a bit easy for me to continue with you through the whole session of this interview.
Besides being introvert, I love to explore feelings on paper, whenever I go out of words:)
RNG: That’s great dear, can you tell us about your blog and yourself, and what inspired you to start it? 🙂
Mistella: Yes! About a couple of months back, I had started a blog by the name mistella25.
It’s a joint venture with me and my partner and that’s the reason why I am connected with you by the Mistella.
Actually, our blog is an attempt to help the readers reach every aspect of our society.
This we do, through book reviews, poetries and posting on some occasional days.
What inspired me to do so, is my observation after going through different blogs.
Most of them focus on certain topics like technology, news, lifestyle etc.
Our aim is to touch upon every aspect of learning that has somehow lost their importance in last few years!
RNG: You are doing an excellent job of it. You are an excellent wordsmith. So when did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Mistella: To be honest, I had never realized that I can write:) I thought that it is not at all a unique quality.
Anyone can do this and even today, I somewhere feel the same.
My partner with whom I have started the blog made me realise this fact 🙂
RNG: I must say you write well dear. Each individual has his own style of working, how would you describe your own personal style?
Mistella: That’s true, each individual has something unique in his style.
I definitely agree my work too, is unique in its own way.
My work is usually based on observations and experiences.
I sprinkle it with a flavour of imagination, which makes it peculiar:)
RNG: Where do you find the inspiration for your blog posts/writings? What is your motivating factor?
Mistella: As I have mentioned before that my work is experience based.
So, I would say that my situations are the most inspiring factors behind my writing.
Every time I face a situation, I get inspired. Every time and everywhere!
RNG: Superb, even I use my daily life experiences in my poetry and articles. How long does it take you to write a poem/article?
Mistella: Actually I have never written a poem/article as a masterpiece.
So for me, any of my work has not taken more than two hours to get completed.
I have never compelled myself to sit and write. It is something that happens!
RNG: What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?
Mistella: Well I don’t find any difference in my work schedule when I am writing.
Since all one needs to write, is observation.
I keep my eyes open to observe and keep on experiencing the situations one after the other.
This way I can combine them with my imagination before going to bed!
RNG: What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
Mistella: My writings carry emotions which keep them alive in words.
This is the most peculiar quality of my work, according to my opinion!
Besides, they explore different situations.
Each situation may be different for different people but the meaning is relatable.
This might be an attractive feature of my work. In spite of presenting a generalized situation, I keep the essence alive.
RNG: That’s great. When did you write your first poem/article and how old were you?
Mistella: When I wrote my first poem, I thought that it has nothing special as it was about 4 to 5 lines long. But after writing those 5 lines, I felt so relaxed like I had written my heart out!!
It was actually my anger which came out on papers:)Hence, it was a great feeling.
At that time, I was about 12 to 13 years old.
Mistella: Poems, I would say about 20 to 25 and since I have started a new blog, so 4 to 5 articles only.
I would like to share the link to one of my articles titled “The Ultimate Pleasure“.
It is a poem to create awareness amongst the people about what they have been so far and what they are to be!
Besides articles, I would like to share a few lines from a poem, titled “The Mascot Of Mine”. Here I go…
“When I closed my eyes,
I saw a sunrise.
A very kind and wise person came to my side.
He held me tight and I forgot all my cries!”
This is the very first stanza only and very close to my heart 🙂
RNG: What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
Mistella: As I am a student, when I am not writing, I read!
Besides my course book, I love to read poetries of poets like John Donne, Bronte sisters and many more.
I also like to read women novelists among which, Jane Austen is one of my favourites.
I have also read her poetry and among them, I loved reading “Oh! Mr.Best You Are Very Bad “, one of her best creations in the poetic field, according to me:)
RNG: Tell us about your most recent work and who inspired you?
Mistella: My recent work is a poem titled “The Ultimate Pleasure,” which we have posted on our blog recently.
Well, whenever you ask me about my inspiration, I will repeat the same name.
My blog partner and one of the best buddy I am blessed with. 🙂
RNG: That is sweet… what is your motto in life?
Mistella: My motto in life is to become what I am expected to! Besides this, I want my publish my book in future with my partner as a co-writer, like our partnership in the blog. 🙂
RNG: Ah! You reminded me of the launch of my first book. All the best dear for your book. I would definitely like to read it.
What do you think are the top 3 factors one should keep in mind while trying to write a successful blog post/poem/story?
Mistella: Well I don’t find myself as a successful blogger/ poet/writer yet.
But I use it as a means to express my hidden views, which is, a good sign for a beginner.
I would suggest: Observe, Experience and the most important, understand your situation.
RNG: Mistella, I wish you all the best for your blog and your fan following to grow further.
Mistella: Everyone can express themselves to the world either as a speaker or a writer. But to become a better writer, you have to become a better observer!
RNG: That’s true… 100% It’s been great chatting with you Mistella. I hope the readers enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed conducting it.
Hope to see you frequent my guest post in future also and all my best wishes for your future.
Mistella: Same here and thank you so much for inviting our guest post on such a great platform 🙂
