Guest Post : Shilpa Vineet; Fly high
Born to fly was in my mind,
“Spread your wings and fly,” I used to hum.
Had beautiful wings but could not fly
It was cropped to stop my flight!
Cats and dogs all around;
To hound my feelings, scare my life.
Snapping on every bit that came,
Still, I managed to survive my name.
All I am is what I am,
Full of compassion, hope and love.
Belief is one thing that has never failed,
I can create smiles that will never fade.
One day I will fly; which the time will only show,
I will fly high in sky
That day could be the last…
But one day… I Will fly high.
Our guest today is a writer, a poet, a mother, a wife and a professional (an admin officer). She didn’t have a big dream when she created this blog and started writing.
It was just a way to share her feelings and her thoughts
that came randomly to her heart.
She believes that if even for a moment she is able to make you smile or if she able to reach you with her writes and
you are able to relate
to what she has written then, her wish is accomplished. She hopes that she will be able to leave a mark on your heart and make you smile, even if it’s for a moment.
My chat with Shilpa was most enjoyable.
I am confident you will enjoy it too.
RNG: Good morning Shilpa, it’s great to be chatting with you here, and I’m really glad that you are a part of my guest post here. You are an excellent wordsmith and can comfortably write in both Hindi and English languages so when did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
SHILPA: Good morning Di, it’s a pleasure to be with you. I had never thought I would write, but here I am.. 🙂 The thought of being a writer never came to my mind.. a few of my close friends who loved my musings, motivated me into writing and blogging, so here I am in front of you on dilkiaawazsunoblog
RNG: That is great… I wish I had friends like this…So Shilpa, how long does it take you to write a poem/article?
SHILPA: As much time to type. I am an instant writer. I cannot think for long, I just pen down the words as it comes to my heart.
RNG: That’s awesome!! Direct dil se(from the heart)…You must be keeping busy. Like you had told me that you work so what is your work schedule like when you’re writing?
SHILPA: No planned schedule. If I am reading anyone’s blog, or I see and perceive something and I am inspired, I write it down that very moment, while it’s still fresh that’s all.
RNG: Everyone has a writing quirk what would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
SHILPA: Emotions, I guess.
RNG: What is your motivating factor?
SHILPA: Happiness, nice work and whatever happens around me. I get inspired when I see something nice and beautiful or I want to express an emotion but fail to do so verbally.
RNG: When did you write your first poem/article and how old were you?
SHILPA: Somewhere when I was in 6th Class I guess, which was published in the newspaper. After that never got into serious writing. Then very recently, I started writing again. I used to post small quotes as a reply for my friend’s messages. They loved it and inspired me to compile them and pick up the pen again 🙂 that’s how it all started.
RNG: Wow! You work got published in a newspaper at that tender age. That’s indeed an achievement. You should have continued writing… but still, all is not lost. You are back to writing and that’s good news. How many poems/articles have you written till now? Can you share a few links of your favourite articles or a few lines of a poem close to your heart with our readers?
SHILPA: As many in my Blog only that much. For me all of them are favourites.
RNG: But still, there must be something. I know that as a poet all your creations would be dear to you and choosing one is like telling a mother to decide which of her kids does she love the most… give it a try
SHILPA: Honestly I, can’t differentiate but yes there are a few lines of a devanad song from movie Hum Dono Mai zindagi ka sath nibhata chala gaya, har fikra ko dhuyen may udata chala gaya (I don’t smoke though).
That’s what closest to my heart and motivates me and another song from Movie Amrit- 1986; Duniya may kitna gum hai mera gum kitna kum hai…
RNG: Wow, those are some evergreen song of Indian Cinema. I like your taste. The song of Hum Dono is my favorite too and even I don’t smoke. It’s really interesting talking to you. What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
SHILPA: I just read, or listen to music if I am not busy doing my household chores
RNG: That’s wonderful. Would you like to consider publishing your work in form of a book in the near future?
SHILPA: That is too early for me to even think about.. but sapne dekhne se poore hote hai.. to shayad kabhi..(sometimes dreams do come true..so maybe..)
RNG: Do you have any suggestions to help the people reading your interview become a better writer? If so, what are they?
SHILPA: I myself am a novice so can’t advise, I just learn every day from everyone. So I guess that is the best way is to keep yourself open to learning new things and write what you feel from the heart and not to impress anyone.
RNG: It’s been great chatting with you Shilpa. I hope the readers enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed conducting it. Hope to see you frequent my guest post in future also and all my best wishes for your future.
SHILPA: It’s a pleasure and an honour for me to be a part of your guest post. Thank you for your time and all the support you have given me.
