Reality or A Magnificent Dream
Far away from here
Across the land,
The sea and the sky,
Where enchanting rainbows
Are not so infrequent
A call from the soul,
Forestalls my return
From the forbidden world.
Lulled by the music of the enchanted song.
Calming me. Warming me. Engulfing me.
Just as fire dissipates embers in the air,
All my apprehensions disappear.
Daring me to traipse on the edge.
Fight the phantoms, and
Walk on the tightrope of love.
With a promise; to be together in life or in death.
Was this reality
Or one magnificent Dream?
Etched memories; lingering on like the taste of mulled wine.
Untainted thoughts; obscure and elusive,
Like the aftertaste of a single malt.
Wrapped in the thousand folds of mysticism.
Repeatedly I seek,
To escape into my mystical world.
