If Ever I Should Get A Crystal Ball
If ever I should get a Crystal Ball
I shall lock it up safely away
Afraid to see what it hides
I’m sceptical to look inside.
It may bring happiness
Heartaches and pain
Riches and better days and
Broken dreams in life’s trail…
Fear of failure shall overrule
My destiny’s call
And I’m sure to get lost If I ever look
Deeply in the crystal ball.
My life’s journeys pleasures
It shall stall if I answer its call
I’m sure I’ll be tempted to look; for
A part of me wants to know what tomorrow will bring.
Trying to see the future
Is like messing with the present
So live your ‘Life’ by your rules, die with a smile.
Before the final, closing curtain call.
