The Wolf and The Moon

The Wolf and The Moon

It cries
With every part of its being
For a love
It can never touch.

***

The hollowness
That floods his soul
Grey gloomy skies, and
Cloudy coverings.

***

Whispers from the moon
Resounding across universe
Deepest desires; darkest secrets
Hovering amongst clouds.

***

The moon sings that song
Which only he can hear
Taking comfort in looking at the moon
His voice breaking into a soulful howl.

***

No matter
How much he loves the moon
The Night shall smile
An opalescent grin.

***

Forever mocking
In the darkest face of plight
For, The Night,
Has his beloved: pearlescent moon; timid and bright.

***

Tonight…will be no different
Two different places
Ghostly shadows; fragile dreams quashed
One the reflection of another; lonely till eternity.
