Hypoxia had set in
Conducted in emergency
My first born
Already detached in my womb
But I was blessed
With a healthy baby girl, that’s
Excruciating pains had started
But, head was yet to get engaged
Cord wrapped twice around the neck
Slow heartbeat; Caesarean section;
Faux pas on OT table;
Anesthesia gone wrong
Dreading that I won’t live to hold you my son; a scared mother
I searched, I scanned, I compared, I analyzed…
Incoherent; all memories distorted.
Living for the moment
Belief in my faith restored
Embrace of cosmic truth
Realization of God’s profound existence
Healing process a heartfelt; unbridled
Smile of contentment and happiness
Danced on my lips
Tranquility of wisdom
Strength and radiance of love
Reverberated through my soul
